Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme: Win up to PKR 100 Million

Sending money home is a regular part of life for many people living and working in Kuwait. Now, eligible home remittances could bring an added opportunity for your loved ones in Pakistan.

The Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme, launched under the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Pakistan Banks’ Association (PBA), gives eligible beneficiaries the opportunity to participate in quarterly prize draws, with prizes of up to PKR 100 million.

What is the Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme?

The Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme is an industry-wide initiative designed to encourage overseas Pakistanis to send home remittances through formal channels.

Under the scheme, eligible recipients in Pakistan can receive draw tokens based on qualifying remittance transactions. The quarterly prize pool includes:

Number of WinnersPrize Amount
1st Prize1PKR 100 Million
2nd Prize20PKR 25 Million Each
3rd Prize100PKR 10 Million Each
4th Prize2,400PKR 1 Million Each

How to Qualify for the Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme

The rule is simple.

  • Send at least USD 100 equivalent each month. Your loved one must receive at least USD 100 equivalent every month for three consecutive months in a qualifying quarter.
  • Cover all three months. The first qualifying quarter runs from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Miss one month and there are no tokens for that quarter. The next quarter starts fresh.
  • Use the same account every month. Eligibility is assessed per account. Splitting transfers across two accounts can mean neither one qualifies.
  • Choose a personal Pakistani rupee account. Single or joint accounts also qualify.
  • Choose a participating bank. Credits to a non-participating bank earn nothing. Check the latest participating bank list in the official scheme terms.
  • Send through a formal channel. Licensed exchange companies and money transfer operators can be used to send to Pakistan, and LuLu Money is one of them.
  • If the remittances meet the scheme’s eligibility requirements and are credited to an eligible beneficiary account, the beneficiary becomes eligible to participate in that quarter’s draw.
  • The scheme is beneficiary-led and account-based, so the opportunity belongs to the eligible recipient in Pakistan rather than simply to the person sending money from Kuwait.

Which Transactions Do Not Qualify

Some transfers look fine but do not count as a qualifying transfer. Avoid these:

  • Cash pickup. Even if your family has an account, cash collected over the counter is excluded.
  • Company, firm, trust, or association accounts. Only personal accounts qualify.
  • Roshan Digital Accounts and foreign-currency accounts.
  • Transfers between your own accounts, and payments for goods, services, trade, property or investment.
  • Reversed, cancelled, returned or duplicated transactions.

Your bank decides how each transaction is classified, and the official terms prevail over any summary, including this one.
